Fettercairn 16-Year-Old Single Malt Unveiled

UK-based bottler, Whyte & Mackay, has released a 2022 limited edition Fettercairn 16 Years Old single malt whisky – the third limited release of an annual series featuring 16-year-old single malts.

The 2022 Fettercairn 16 Years Old was initially matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask, followed by a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, and subsequently finished in an ex-bourbon barrel before being bottled at 46.4% alcohol by volume [92.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of cocoa, coffee, figs, guava and vanilla.

The 2022 Fettercairn 16 Years Old is being made available across Europe and will be made available to Asia and worldwide travel retail venues in 2023, for $85-100 per bottle (depending on the venue).
