Glasgow Offers Coopers’ Cask Scotch
Glasgow Distillery has released their Coopers’ Cask Scotch whisky as an exclusive – the first from the distillery.
The Glasgow Distillery Coopers’ Cask takes unpeated spirit from an ex-Port cask filled by the Glasgow Distillery in 2015, then further matures it in a cask of half heavily charred virgin oak staves from USA-based Kelvin Cooperage and half ex-Glasgow 1770 Single Malt cask staves from The Glasgow Distillery.
The Glasgow Distillery Coopers’ Cask was then bottled at 53.3% alcohol by volume [106.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of honey and toffee.
Only 403 individually numbered bottles of The Glasgow Distillery Coopers’ Cask Release are being made available on the distillery’s website for $80 per bottle.
