GlenAllachie Introduces Wood Finish Whiskies
GlenAllachie has released three new Wood Finish whiskies to their Wood Finish series – a limited edition series of single malts finished in a variety of casks.
The GlenAllachie Wood Finish series has added a nine-year-old Rye Wood Finish, 11-year-old Moscatel Wood Finish and 11-year-old Port Wood Finish.
The GlenAllachie Rye Wood Finish ($68 per bottle) was first matured in American oak wood barrels then transferred to Kentucky rye casks and is said to contain notes of butterscotch, dark chocolate and raisins.
The GlenAllachie Moscatel Wood Finish ($73 per bottle) was first aged in American oak wood barrels for more than nine years then transferred to Moscatel barriques and is said to contain notes of the Muscat grape.
The GlenAllachie Port Wood Finish ($73 per bottle), was matured in American oak barrels for more than nine years then transferred to ruby Port wood pipes.
The trio of new limited edition whiskies to the GlenAllachie Wood Finish are being made available worldwide and GlenAllachie will offer a live interactive tasting as part of GlenAllachie’s Isolation Tastin’ sessions on Facebook on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
