GlenAllachie Singles Out Single Casks
Speyside distillery GlenAllachie has released six single cask single malts – albeit in the UK only.
The GlenAllachie single cask single malt group include:
A 32-year-old Pedro Ximénez puncheon, bottled at 55.8% alcohol by volume [111.6 proof], is said to contain notes of dark chocolate, eucalyptus and figs, and is being made be available for $855 per bottle.
A 15-year-old Rioja barrique, bottled at 60.5% alcohol by volume [121 proof], is said to contain notes of almonds, nutmeg and raspberry and is being made available for $155 per bottle.
A 15-year-old tawny Port pipe, bottled at 60.7% alcohol by volume [121.4 proof], is said to contain notes of fruit and is being made available for $155 per bottle.
A 14-year-old Pedro Ximénez hogshead, bottled at 60.3% alcohol by volume [120.6 proof], is said to contain notes of cinnamon, ginger and mocha and is being made available for $150 per bottle.
A 13-year-old chinquapin virgin oak barrel, bottled at 58.3% alcohol by volume [116.6 proof], said to contain notes of fruit, ginger and lemon meringue and is being made available for $145 per bottle.
A 12-year-old Marsala barrel, bottled at 58% alcohol by volume [116 proof], said to contain notes of salted caramel and tropical fruits and is being made available for $135 per bottle.
