Gordon & MacPhail Presents 1948 Glen Grant Scotch
Scotland-based independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail has presented a 1948 Speyside single malt Scotch from Glen Grant in 1948.
Gordon & MacPhail’s 72-Year-Old Glen Grant whisky was matured in an American oak ex-sherry cask, bottled at 56.2% alcohol by volume [112.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of dark chocolate, espresso and spice.
However, you will require a healthy bank account to get your hands on some of this whisky as Gordon & MacPhail has only filled 290 decanters with the precious brown liquid and one of those decanters – Bottle number 88 – will make its debut at Bonhams’ Hong Kong auction on January 29, 2021, where it will be auctioned off for an estimated $38,700-$49,000.
