Luxury British retail department store chain Harvey Nichols has collaborated with The English Whisky Company to produce a limited edition, single cask peated whisky aged in a Burgundy cask.
Harvey Nichols Peated Burgundy Cask Single Barrel English Whisky has been peated to 38ppm (phenol parts per million) before being matured for 12 years in a first-fill Pinot Noir cask from Burgundy, then bottled at 51% alcohol by volume [102 proof] and is said to contain notes of dark chocolate, sesame seeds and smoked chili peppers.
Harvey Nichols Peated Burgundy Cask Single Barrel English Whisky is being made available for $145 per 700ml bottle.
