Johnnie Walker Goes For The Gold

on

With the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, now in full swing, it only makes sense to go for the gold – which is exactly what Johnnie Walker has done. As you may recall, JW phased out the old 18-year-old Gold label and replaced it with the spendier Platinum Label. Now, the brand is bringing back the Gold Label – only calling it Gold Label Reserve now – and making no age statement in association with it this time around [but charging nearly the same price]. The new blended Scotch malt whisky Gold Label Reserve has a fruity/honey note to it and comes in at 80 proof [40% alcohol content].

The new Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve may be found at prices near the $87 range for a 750ml bottle.
