Johnnie Walker Reveals Origin Series
Johnnie Walker has released the Johnnie Walker Black Label Origin Series – a limited edition series of 12-year-old single malt whiskies highlighting four regions – Highlands, Islay, Lowlands and Speyside – Scotch production.
Three of the four whiskies (Highlands, Islay and Speyside) are blended malts, made using only malt whisky.
Johnnie Walker Black Label Highlands Origin is made from whiskies from Clynelish and Teaninich and is said to contain notes of red berry and stone fruits.
Johnnie Walker Black Label Islay Origin is made from whiskies from Lagavulin and Caol Ila and is said to contain notes of smoke.
Johnnie Walker Black Label Speyside Origin is made with whiskies from Cardhu and Glendullan and is said to contain notes of apples.
Blended Scotch Johnnie Walker Black Label Lowlands Origin contains grain and malt whisky from Glenkinchie and Cameronbridge and is said to contain notes of toffee and vanilla.
The Johnnie Walker Black Label Origin Series is being made available in selected global travel retail venues for $45 per bottle beginning in July 2019.
