on

Taiwan-based Kavalan is celebrating their 10th anniversary with the release of a pair of limited edition whiskies which have been aged in casks that previously held Bordeaux wines from the Margaux and Pauillac regions of France, respectively.

Both whiskies have been bottled at 57.8% alcohol by volume [115.6 proof] with the Kavalan Bordeaux Pauillac whisky being said to contain notes of coriander, pepper and toffee apple while the Kavalan Bordeaux Margaux is said to contain notes of caramel, fudge and vanilla.

Only 3,000 bottles of each whisky are being made available for $285 per one-liter bottle.
