Laphroaig Has Cairdeas Triple Wood Cask Strength
Laphroaig has released the Cairdeas Triple Wood Cask Strength single malt whisky created to celebrate the ‘friends of Laphroaig’ and mark this year’s Fèis Ìle festival on Islay.
Laphroaig Càirdeas Triple Wood Cask Strength was aged in ex-Bourbon barrels, moved to quarter casks and then finished in ex-Oloroso sherrry European oak casks before being bottled at cask strength 51.4% alcohol by volume [102.8 proof]. it is said to contain notes of caramel, dates and spicy lemon.
Laphroaig Cairdeas Triple Wood Cask Strength is being made available for $80 per bottle in France, Germany, UK and USA.
