Loch Lomond Introduces 54-Year-Old
The Loch Lomond Distillery has released a rare 54-year-old single malt whisky.
The Loch Lomond 54 Years Old was originally matured in refill American oak hogshead casks, before being re-casked in a refill European oak sherry hogshead, bottled at 41.1% alcohol by volume [82.2 proof] and is said to contain notes of brown sugar, caramel, citrus, pineapple and vanilla.
Only 55 bottles of The Loch Lomond 54 Years Old are being made available for a whopping $27,000 per bottle [although the fancy decanter is hand-engraved with a satin infill and features a gold aged-effect metal coin with the Loch Lomond stag logo].
