Israel-based Milk & Honey Distillery has released Apex Dead Sea whisky – a whisky highlighting the the Dead Sea climate zone in the country.
Milk & Honey – Israel’s first whisky distillery – has created Apex Dead Sea by maturing it in 20 ex-bourbon, ex-red wine and ex-STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) casks for one year on a hotel rooftop in the Dead Sea zone, at about 423 meters below sea level, bottled at 56.2% alcohol by volume [112.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of chocolate, roasted herbs and sea salt.
Only 4,892 bottles of Milk & Honey Apex Dead Sea are being made available in France, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, Taiwan, USA and the UK.
