A new Scotch whisky on the market called Nomad Outland Whisky is a blend of more than 30 single malt and Scotch whiskies that hails mostly from the Speyside region of Scotland but is matured in Andalucia, Spain, in Fino, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry barrels. The whiskies are initially aged three years in sherry butts in Scotland before being transferred for a final year of maturing in Jerez, Spain, and producing flavor notes ranging from oranges to bananas to almonds.
Nomad Outland Whisky is 41.3% alcohol content [82.6 proof], costs $40 for a 700ml bottle and will be available in late 2014.
