Oxford Rye Whiskey Batch #3 Released

The Oxford Artisan Distillery has released their Oxford Rye Whisky Batch #3.

Oxford Rye Whisky Batch #3 was aged 17 months in American oak casks before being matured for an additional 19 months in Portuguese Moscatel wine casks, bottled at cask strength [51.2% alcohol by volume – 102.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of citrus, lychee and pear.

Oxford Rye Whisky Batch #3 was composed from organic heritage grain harvested in autumn 2017 and is comprised of 90% maslin (a mix of 70% rye and 20% wheat from populations grown together in the same field), and 10% heritage malted barley.

Only a mere 551 bottles of Oxford Rye Batch #3 are being made available for $165 per bottle from the distillery’s website: theoxfordartisandistillery.com.
