Port Askaig Reveals Trio Of Whiskies
Islay-based Port Askaig has revealed a trio of new limited releases – a non-age statement cask-strength single malt and two age-statement expressions, 15- and 25-year-olds.
Port Askaig Cask Strength Single Malt #02-2024 was bottled at 59.1% alcohol by volume [118.2 proof] and is said to impart notes of espresso coffee, dark chocolate, lemon and Islay peat and will be made available for $85 per bottle.
Port Askaig 15-year-old Single Malt was matured in refill hogsheads, bottled at 50.5% alcohol by volume [101 proof] and is being made available for $145 per bottle.
Port Askaig 25-year-old Single Malt was bottled at 45.8% alcohol by volume [91.6 proof] and is said to impart notes of tropical fruit and citrus and is being made available for $420 per bottle.
All three new releases will be available worldwide in select markets in April 2025.
