Tasmania’s Lawrenny Introduces Madeira Cask-Finished Whisky


Tasmania’s Lawrenny Estate Distillery has released a single malt whisky entitled Descension, which was finished in Boal Madeira wine casks.

Lawrenny Descension was created using Tasmanian barley, water from the upper River Derwent, then was matured in both ex-Port and ex-bourbon casks before being finished in Boal Madeira casks and bottled at 46.6% alcohol by volume [97.2 proof].
