The Murray Has Been Released
Tullibardine Distillery has officially released probably one of the best-named single malt whiskies – “The Murray”.
“The Murray” is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that has been matured in first-fill bourbon hogshead barrels, then re-casked in French red wine containers originating from southern Rhone vineyards and finally finished in French Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine casks before being bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof].
“The Murray” is named after Sir William Murray, a Scottish army officer who died in 1746 in the Tower of London.
“The Murray” is available for purchase in Germany and Scotland but will not be available internationally until 2018.
