If you happen to know a Trekkie then congratulations, you just found the perfect gift for him/her this holiday gift-giving season – blended Scotch whisky from Silver Screen Bottling Company inspired by Star Trek character Montgomery Scott, [affectionately known as “Scotty” by his USS Enterprise shipmates and played by actor James Doohan].

According to “Star Trek” lore, Scotty was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2222 and was known to enjoy a tipple and even kept a bottle of “very, very, very, old” Scotch whisky hidden in a suit of armor.

Silver Screen Bottling Company’s limited edition Montgomery Scott Blended Scotch was produced in a Glasgow distillery and is said to contain notes of smokiness.

Silver Screen Bottling Company’s Montgomery Scott is the fourth in the Star Trek-themed spirit series – joining the previously released James T. Kirk Bourbon, James T. Kirk Bourbon Reserve and Ten-Forward Vodka.

Silver Screen Bottling Company’s limited edition Montgomery Scott Blended Scotch is being made available [via online pre-ordering] for $50 per 750ml bottle with an expected ship date in mid-March 2019.
