Woodford Reserve Unveils American Single Malt
Woodford Reserve has released their new 12-year-old American single malt (ASM) as part of the their limited Distillery Series. This is one of the first releases after the December 2024 change in regulations, allowing brands to use new or used barrels in maturation, contrary to the previously accepted bourbon rules.
Accordingly, Woodford Reserve 12-Year=Old American single malt was matured for 12 years in used whiskey barrels, bottled at 45.2% alcohol by volume [90.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of caramel, cardamom, ginger and pear.
Woodford Reserve American Single Malt is being made available in Kentucky, New Hampshire, Nebraska, North Dakota and Washington DC for $100 per 375ml bottle.
