Gordon & MacPhail Release Their 2019 Summer Collection
There are only a few weeks left of summer 2019 but Gordon & MacPhail is making the most of them with their release of their Summer Collection featuring three whiskies from now-closed distilleries.
The 2019 Gordon & MacPhail Summer Collection consists of Gordon & MacPhail 1966 from Longmorn Distillery, Gordon & MacPhail 1969 from Dallas Dhu Distillery and Gordon & MacPhail 1982 from St. Magdalene Distillery.
Only 398 bottles of the Gordon & MacPhail 1966 from Longmorn Distillery – a 53-year-old single malt whisky matured in a first-fill sherry butt – are being made available worldwide for $8,555 per decanter.
Even fewer bottles [176] of the Gordon & MacPhail 1969 from Speyside’s Dallas Dhu Distillery [closed in 1983] – a single malt whisky from a refill sherry hogshead – are being made available wordlwide for $8,555 per decanter.
Finally, a meager 161 bottles of the Gordon & MacPhail 1982 from Lowlands’ St. Magdalene Distillery [also closed in 1983] – a single malt whisky matured in a refill American hogshead – are being made available worldwide for $1,230 per decanter.
