2 Gingers Do America
A mere three years ago, 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey [80 proof/40% alcohol content] existed as a hopeful stab to get women interested in drinking whiskey – particularly in Minnesota – but now, the brand has progressed through the state of Minnesota, across the Midwest and now will be promoted in all 50 United States of America. Originally begun in Minnesota – and distilled by the Kilbeggan Distillery in Ireland – the Irish Whiskey brand became so popular that Jim Beam [now owned by Suntory, of course] purchased the brand in December 2012 and its popularity has skyrocketed ever since – no doubt with an assist from Beam’s massive distribution channels.
2 Gingers [$20 per 750ml bottle] began in Minnesota in 2011, expanded to be available to 10 states in 2012, then added nine more states last year and now will be available in all 50 states by the end of this month.
