Bart’s Debuts Initial Blended Irish Whiskey
Lough Ree Distillery – based in Lanesborough in County Longford in Ireland – has released their initial blended Irish whiskey called Bart’s Blended Irish Whiskey, named in honor of the distillery founder’s father.
Bart’s Blended Irish Whiskey is composed of five whiskies – a classic grain whiskey, a pot still whiskey, a pair of malts with Oloroso sherry and rye cask finishes and finally, some peated whiskey – before being bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof]. The resulting product is said to contain notes of cinnamon, toasted marshmallow and pear.
Bart’s Blended Irish Whiskey is being made available for $50 per 700ml bottle.
