Penderyn Unveils Another Icon Of Wales – Yma O Hyd

Wales-based Penderyn has released Yma O Hyd – the 10th entry in their Icons of Wales series, produced in a collaboration with the Welsh Football Association [which is the official whisky for Wales when they compete at the World Cup later this year].

Penderyn Icon of Wales Yma O Hyd Whisky Edition was matured in American rye casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of caramel, cinnamon, clove, ginger, pears and toffee.

Penderyn Icons of Wales Yma O Hyd Whisky Edition is being made available for $45 per 700 ml bottle.

Penderyn’s Icon of Wales Yma O Hyd Whisky Edition jumped in front of Penderyn’s intended ninth release in the series but when Wales officially qualified for the World Cup, the distillery reportedly decided to produce Yma O Hyd first. Icons of Wales #9 will be released next month.
