Old Forester Unwraps Birthday Bourbon
Old Forester has unwrapped this year’s version of their highly coveted Birthday Bourbon series – and the 2025 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is the first to use the sweet mash process – created without setback during fermentation, as that “…absence of setback allowed the yeast to express its full character”. Each year, Old Forester celebrates the September 2 birthday of founder, George Garvin Brown with the limited edition release.
The 2025 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon was matured for 12 years, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of cardamom, citrus and vanilla.
The 2025 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is being made available – albeit in limited quantities in select venues nationwide – for $200 per bottle.
