Glen Moray Turns To Tequila Cask Finish
For the first time ever, Speyside-based Glen Moray has released a pair of tequila cask-finished single malt whiskies as part of their Warehouse One Collection series.
The Glen Moray 2014 Tequila Cask Finish was matured for eight years in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in Mexican agave spirit barrels, bottled at 55.2% alcohol by volume [110.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of almond, citrus and vanilla. The Glen Moray 2014 Tequila Cask Finish is being made available for $115 per bottle.
The Glen Moray Peated Tequila Cask Finish was bottled at 58.5% alcohol by volume and is said to contain notes of banana, dark chocolate and hazelnuts. The Glen Moray Peated Tequila Cask Finish is being made available for $130 per bottle.
