Hood River Distillers Snaps Up Crater Lake Spirits

Hood River, Oregon-based Hood River Distillers (HRD) has traveled a few miles down the road and purchased Bend, Oregon-based Crater Lake Spirits [Bendistillery] for an undisclosed sum.

Hood River bourbon and whiskey brands include Easy Rider Bourbon, Forthwest Whisky, Trail’s End Bourbon and McCarthy’s Oregon Single Malt Whiskey and HRD also owns Portland-based brandy-producing Clear Creek Distillery, which was acquired in 2014.

The Crater Lake portfolio includes a collaboration with local Deschutes Brewery resulting in Black Butte Whiskey, an American single malt distilled from Deschutes’ Black Butte Porter beer.
