Isle Of Raasay Reveals Amontillado Casked Whisky
The Isle of Raasay Distillery has released The Full Monti – an unpeated limited edition single malt whisky matured in Amontillado sherry hogsheads.
Isle of Raasay The Full Monti (nicknamed after the popular 1997 British feature film “The Full Monty”) was made with a combination of unpeated Laureate and Concerto barley, matured three years in Woodford Reserve rye whiskey casks before residing in American oak Amontillado casks, bottled at 57.1% alcohol by volume (114.2 proof) and is said to contain notes of almond, butterscotch and vanilla.
Only 5,000 bottles of Isle of Raasay The Full Monti are being made available worldwide for $105 per 700ml bottle.
