Beam Suntory has sold Windsor Blended Canadian Whisky to Minnesota-based Prestige Beverage Group for an undisclosed sum.
Windsor is a blended whisky derived from grains grown near Calgary, Alberta, along with water from western Canada and is claimed to be one of the top-selling Canadian whiskies in the USA.
The purchase includes both the original Windsor blended whisky as well as the black cherry-flavored blended whisky.
Windsor will join Prestige Beverage Group’s The Whistler Irish whiskey in the whisky/whiskey portion of their portfolio.
Windsor will continue to be produced at Beam Suntory’s Alberta Distillers site in Calgary and Beam Suntory will retain full ownership of those facilities.
