Buffalo Trace Goes To Summer Camp
Camp Buffalo Trace Distillery is going to summer camp – or rather, offering adults a summer camp experience by combining the typical summer camp activities with bourbon education and an overnight stay at the distillery in Kentucky.
Dubbed Camp Buffalo Trace, the adult summer camp is open to adults aged 21 years and older and will take place from August 29-September 5, 2026, with 100 winners from a random draw for each date determined via an online sweepstakes.
Ninety of those 100 winners will be randomly selected to receive a simple day camp experience while the other 10 will receive the day camp plus an overnight stay in luxury camping accommodation.
Activities being offered at Camp Buffalo Trace include a Buffalo Trace trivia competition, a single barrel challenge [campers sample three barrels of the same bourbon at different ages and try to identify each one] and a woodcraft workshop [to learn about the role of barrel staves and white oak in bourbon production].
