If you happen to like beer and live in the USA, then Los Angeles is the best place to buy your preferred adult beverage, according to international beer surveyors, GoEuro. The 2015 Beer Price Index survey finds that Los Angeles is the best USA city to purchase beer if price is your deciding factor – with an average 11.2 ounce [the normal European measure, just short of the 12-ouncer familiar to Americans] beer costing $3.24 when purchased in either a supermarket or bar.
Chicago [$3.56], Boston [$3.72], San Francisco [$3.97], Miami [$5.13] and New York [$5.20] are the only American entries in the international list using prices as of June 2015.
Krakow, Poland, had the best overall price for beer – $1.66 – while Geneva, Switzerland, bottomed out the list at $6.32. The complete list can be found at the link below.
