Coleburn Revival Continues With Trio Of Whiskies

Speyside-based Coleburn Distillery has released a trio of blended malt whiskies – Sweet Peat, Sherry Bomb and Big Smoke – as part of their Local Heroes collection as they continue their revival after the original distillery was mothballed in 1985. The revived distillery is currently scheduled to re-open in 2027.

Coleburn Sherry Bomb utilizes Oloroso sherry and refill casks and is said to contain notes aromas of apple, hazelnut and honey.

Coleburn Sweet Peat is said to contain notes of banana, caramel and vanilla.

Coleburn Big Smoke is said to contain notes of banana, cherry and, of course, smoke.

All three Coleburn Local Heroes Batch 1 blended malt whiskies are bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof].

Coleburn Local Heros Batch 1 are being made available for $65 to $75 per bottle.
