Compass Box Debuts 10-Year-Old Blend

Compass Box has released the aptly-named This Is A 10-Year-Old Whisky – a limited edition three-whisky blended malt that combines a Clynelish single malt whisky with both unpeated and peated single malt versions of Ardnamurchan malt whiskies, all distilled in the Scottish Highlands and all matured in first-fill bourbon barrels.

Supporting the name, Compass Box This Is A 10-Year-Old Whisky was aged for exactly 10 years – with the blend composed primarily of the Clynelish (66.5%) followed by the peated version of the Ardnamurchan (20.2%) and then unpeated (13.3%).

The combined blend was subsequently bottled at 50.5% alcohol by volume (101 proof) and is said to contain notes of apricot, custard and Pink Lady apple.

Only 3610 bottles of Compass Box’s This is a 10-Year-Old Whisky are being made available for $85 per bottle.
