Cu Bocan Sells Shochu-Casked Whisky By The Seashore
Highland distillery Cu Bocan is releasing a trio of new single malt whiskies – Signature, Creation #1 and Creation #2 – Creation #2 has spent time maturing in a shochu cask [shochu is a Japanese rice/barley/sweet potato alcohol].
Cu Bocan Signature is a single malt matured in Bourbon, Oloroso sherry and North American virgin oak casks.
Cù Bòcan Creation #1 has been aged in Black Isle Brewery Imperial Stout and Bacalhôa Moscatel de Setúbal wine casks.
Cù Bòcan Creation #2, which has been aged in Japanese shōchū and European virgin oak casks.
All three Cù Bòcan spirits have been bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof].
Cù Bòcan Signature is being made available for $55 per 700ml bottle while both and Creation #1 and #2 are being made available for $75 per 700ml bottle.
