Diageo Releasing Nine Rare Whiskies
Diageo will be releasing nine rare and limited edition whiskies that will be released this autumn as part of its annual Special Releases collection.
The Diageo collection will represent some of the rarest and oldest whiskies from classic, lesser-known and often closed distilleries.
Among the selections are a 48-year-old whisky from Carsebridge, which was founded in the 1700s and which ultimately closed in 1983 [with much of the distillery having since been demolished], a 35-year-old whisky from Caol Ila on Islay and a 28-year-old from Pittyvaich, which was established in 1975 and closed in 1993.
The Diageo whiskies will be available beginning in Autumn 2018 in Australia, Canada, Europe, South Africa, USA and selected Asian markets – with a final tenth bottling to be revealed later in the year.
