Glengoyne Wields Wetlands-Supporting Whisky
Highland-based Glengoyne Distillery has released Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask Release – a whisky to support Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) – a wetland restoration charity that protects the UK’s natural habitats. An amount of money from the Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask Release sales will be donated to the charity and its conservation work.
Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask Release was matured in a re-fill sherry butt from 2009, bottled at 61.1% alcohol by volume [122.2 proof] and is said to impart notes of citrus, fig, kiwi and milk chocolate.
Only a mere 500 bottles of Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask Release are being made available for $250 per bottle.
