Glenmorangie Gets Spicy
Glenmorangie has released A Tale of Spices – the sixth entry in their annual limited edition ‘A Tale Of’ series, where Glenmorangie emphasizes the role of spices in their Scotch.
Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices was initially aged in bourbon barrels before being finished in a quartet of casks: French oak Moroccan red wine, new charred oak, STR (shaved, toasted, and re-charred) and Pedro Ximénez Sherry, then was bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to impart notes of almond, cumin, eucalyptus, ginger, jasmine, nutmeg, rose and saffron from all those casks.
Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is being made available via the distillery’s official website and at the visitor center in Tain, Scotland, as well as at other select retailers for $105 per bottle.
