InchDairnie Introduces Pair Of Single Malts
InchDairnie Distillery has released a pair of eight-year-old peated single malts – KinGlassie Double Matured and KinGlassie Raw – the KinGlassie name is from the Irish ‘Saint Glaisne’ and is the name of the village near the distillery.
KinGlassie Double Matured is the more heavily peated of the pair of eight-year-old single malt whiskies, checking in at 50PPM (phenol parts per million) peat content from Scottish mainland peat, was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks for five years, followed by three years in Amontillado sherry casks, bottled at 46.3% alcohol by volume [92.6 proof] and is said to produce notes of almond, nuts, smoke and tobacco.
KinGlassie Raw was matured inAmerican oak ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 46.3% alcohol by volume [92.6 proof] and is said to produce notes of malt and fire.
KinGlassie Double Matured is being made available for $105 per bottle while KinGlassie Raw is being made available for $100 per bottle.
