Johnnie Walker Unveils 52-Year-Old Blend
Johnnie Walker has released a limited edition 52-year-old blended whisky – Johnnie Walker Aged 52 Years – containing liquid from closed distilleries.
Johnnie Walker Aged 52 Years blends six single malt Highland whiskies [from Blair Athol, Brora, Dalwhinnie, Glen Albyn, Glenlochy and Glenury Royal distilleries] and two Lowland grain whiskies [from Cambus and Carsebridge distilleries], is bottled at 41.2% alcohol by volume [82.4 proof] and is said to offer notes of blue cheese, butterscotch, cacao, orange and vanilla.
Only 200 bottles of Johnnie Walker Aged 52 Years are being made available for a whopping $25,000 per bottle and, as such, can only be purchased at selected luxury retail outlets.
