Jura Doubles Down With 1988 And 1989 Whisky Release
Jura has released a pair of single malt Scotch whiskies from 1988 and 1989.
Jura Rare Vintage 1989 has been matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, was bottled at 53.5% alcohol by volume [107 proof] and is said to contain notes of cinnamon, pear and vanilla.
Jura Rare Vintage 1988 was aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels for the first 26 years of its life before spending time in Port pipes for five years, then bottled at 52.8% alcohol by volume [105.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, honey and pistachios.
Both Jura Rare Vintage 1989 as well as Jura Rare Vintage 1988 are being made available for $835 per 700ml bottle.
