Lagavulin Unleashes Sweet Peat
Islay-based Lagavulin has released Sweet Peat – adding some sweet elements to Lagavulin’s well known reputation as a heavily peated, smoky Scotch whisky.
Lagavulin Sweet Peat was aged 11 years in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, toffee and vanilla – in addition to the iconic peat.
Lagavulin 11 Year Old Sweet Peat is being made available for $70 per bottle.
