Islay-based Laphroaig Distillery released their third single malt in the five-whisky series that honors Ian Hunter, the last member of the founding Johnston family to run the distillery.
The third entry in the series is Laphroaig Book Three: Source Protector – which highlights the history behind the distillery’s Kirkbride stream source – the 33-year-old whisky was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and is said to contain notes of apricots, peaches, pears, licorice and peaches.
Laphroaig Book Three: Source Protector is being made available from Laphroaig.com for $1,250 per bottle.
