No Name Blend Arrives From Compass Box
Compass Box has released their No Name No. 2 blend consisting primarily of two heavily peated single malt whiskies.
Compass Box No Name No. 2 combines peated single malt whiskies from Port Askaig in Islay [aged in refill sherry butts] and the Isle of Skye [aged in re-charred American oak hogsheads] and subsequently blended with old single malt whisky from Brora in the Highlands and a dash of Highland malt blend finished in French oak before being bottled at 48.9% alcohol by volume [97.8 proof].
Compass Box No Name No. 2 is said to contain notes of smoke, spice and, somewhat surprisingly, floral elements.
Only 8436 bottles of compass Box No Name No. 2 are being made available in the UK and in the USA [September 2019] for $145 per bottle.
