Oban Brings 15-Year-Old Cask Strength To USA
Oban Distillery has released a limited edition 15-year-old cask strength single malt whisky finished in sherry casks designed exclusively to be sent across the pond to the USA.
Oban 15-Year-Old Cask Strength Sherry Cask Finish was originally matured in European oak butts and American oak hogshead barrels before being finished for four years in Oloroso and Palo Cortado sherry casks then bottled at 55.3% alcohol by volume [110.6 proof] and is said to impart notes of almond, orange and lemon.
Oban 15 Cask Strength Sherry Cask Finish is being made available only in the USA for $150 per 750ml bottle.
