Slanj Debuts Their Whisky
A new whisky is in town, Slanj – founded by brothers Brian and Craig Halley along with their friend Stuart Montgomerie – is a new blended Scotch whisky brand. The name comes from the Scottish word for toast ‘slàinte’, which means ‘health’ (pronounced Slanj-a-va in English). Additionally, independent blender and bottler Douglas Laing & Co. helped develop the whisky.
The first edition Slanj blend is composed of 70% Speyside single malt matured in sherry casks and 30% Highland single malt matured in bourbon casks and was bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof].
Slanj is being made available for $65 per bottle with an initial launch in the UK.
