Colonel E. H. Taylor Emerges From Buffalo Trace
If Colonel E.H. Taylor – aka, the “father of modern bourbon” – would have made his personal bourbon, then Buffalo Trace has released what they think is the closest modern interpretation of what that would be – the limited edition Colonel E.H. Taylor Distiller’s Council Series.
Buffalo Trace Distillery created the limited edition bourbon using equipment and techniques invented by Colonel E.H. Taylor at the original OFC (now Buffalo Trace) Distillery during the 19th century. Taylor eventually purchased the OFC Distillery in 1869.
Buffalo Trace’s Colonel E.H. Taylor Distiller’s Council Series bourbon was bottled at 50% alcohol by volume [100 proof] and is being made available for $1,500 per bottle.
