Teeling Introduces Ginger Beer Cask-Finished Irish Whiskey

Dublin-based Teeling has released a collaboration with London-based Umbrella Brewery and Cidery to create both Umbrella London Ginger Beer finished Teeling Whiskey and Teeling Whiskey finished Umbrella London Ginger Beer.

The Teeling Umbrella Ginger Beer Finished Irish whiskey began with Umbrella’s Teeling whiskey-finished ginger beer being aged in former bourbon barrels for two years, then re-filled with Teeling and matured another nine months before being bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] by which time it was said to contain notes of ginger, molasses and spice.

The Umbrella London Ginger Beer finished Teeling Whiskey is being made available for $60 per bottle, while the whiskey-finished ginger beer is being made available for $40 for an eight-pack of 330ml bottles.
