The Dalmore Debuts Vintage Collection For 2024
The Dalmore has released The Vintage Collection 2024 – consisting of The Dalmore Vintage 2006 and The Dalmore Vintage 2009 – both single malts matured in a unique combination of wine casks.
The Dalmore Vintage 2009 was aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by finishes in both Matusalem sherry casks from González Byass and 10-year-old tawny Port pipes from Graham’s [the distillery has an exclusive partnership with the two winemakers] before being bottled at 48.9% alcohol by volume [97.8 proof] and is said to offer notes of caramel, citrus, ginger, honey, plum and vanilla.
The Dalmore Vintage 2006 was matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, finished in both Matusalem Oloroso and Amoroso sherry casks before being bottled at 47.2% alcohol by volume [94.4 proof] and is said to impart notes of caramel, dark chocolate and vanilla.
The Dalmore Vintage Collection [called The Dalmore Select Edition in the USA] is being made available for $225 for the 2009 vintage and $500 for the 2006 vintage.
