Tobermory Installs 27 Year Old In Hebridean Series
Isle of Mull-based Tobermory Distillery has released a 27-year-old single malt Scotch whisky as the fifth and final installment in their Hebridean Series, the 2021 series in which each bottle of the sherry-casked series features a different aspect of Tobermory’s island home – the 27-year-old highlighting the island’s 13th-century Duart Castle, which overlooks the Sound of Mull.
Tobermory Hebridean Series 27-Year-Old was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, then aged for 12 years in hand-selected sherry casks, bottled at 53.1% alcohol by volume [106.2 proof] and is said to impart notes of blackcurrant, cinnamon and pineapple.
Only 2857 bottles of Tobermory Hebridean Series 27-Year-Old are being made available worldwide for $510 per bottle.
