Irish whiskey maker Walsh Whiskey Distillery has received final approval to go ahead with their planned new distillery in Royal Oak, County Carlow, Ireland. The $34 million distillery is partially funded by Illva Saronno [the company responsible for Disaronno and Tia Maria liqueurs] will produce all four types – pot still, single, grain and blended – of Irish whiskey.
The Walsh Whiskey Distillery is expected to be operational in 2016.
