X marks the spot for Highland distillery, Glenmorangie, as they seek to entice a wider demographic with a more mixable, sweeter single malt whisky.
X by Glenmorangie was aged in bourbon casks and finished in new charred oak casks, bottled with 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to contain notes of chocolate fudge, pear and vanilla.
X by Glenmorangie was developed after consulting with an array of “top bartenders” and is recommended with cola or tonic but Glenmorangie has also created a series recipes requiring two to four ingredients which can be accessed via a QR code on the bottle or through the brand’s social media channels and website. The bottle’s neck tag also features three more recipes.
X by Glenmorangie is being made available via Amazon beginning on May 1, 2021, for $42 per 700ml bottle.
